2BR Apt + Deck, Fire Pit, Backyard! [Maine Escape]

Great stay near Acadia and downtown bar harbor. Positive: Location and property were gorgeous. Kitchen worked well. Beds were comfortable. Ample pillows. Grill was a nice touch and worked well. Host was very responsive before arrival. Laundry and drier were provided which was great. Negative: Corner shower was tight and old (looked dirty despite cleaning). Only two rolls of toilet paper provided for a 5 day trip with a family. Just barely enough. Windows did not lock by kitchen. Kitchen was ill stocked for anything other than utensils. Bring your own seasonings if you plan to cook. Local groceries may not have them (garlic Powder was hard to find strangely) Price felt a little high for what was an apartment.

Positive: This location was amazing! We were a few minutes from both downtown Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The place is dog friendly so we were able to bring our two babies for no additional fees! They had a nice size backyard to play fetch in and our dogs loved lounging on the deck! Photos were exactly as pictured and the place was very clean and homey. We are already planning on booking again as we loved Bar Harbor so much!

Lovely peaceful base near Arcadia Positive: Clean and spacious property, lovely quiet location near to the national park. Well stocked and has pretty much everything you would need. Easy to find and check in. Negative: Nothing really we had a great stay - only thing it didn’t have was a kettle.

Positive: Everything but the price and the size of the bedroom and main bed (too small). Very nice extras- coffee, firewood etc Negative: Price too high

Positive: The Maine Escape is its own house with private access. There are 2 other houses on this property, but parking is not a problem. The beds are comfortable! House is very clean and provided lots of windows for fresh air. Negative: The Maine Escape is pet friendly, but the stairs are wooden and do have gaps. Know that if your pet is fearful of stairs, this could be an issue. Small dogs may get their paws stuck in the gaps. There is also no lock on the sliding door. You will secure the door at night with a piece of wood. There is a combo lock that you use to secure the door when leaving for adventures.
